    This “Wave Motor” used wave action to pump water up to a 5000 gallon holding tank. Water trucks filled up and used the water to dampen to dusty dirt roads, specifically West Cliff Drive but others as well. When the water dried, it is said the roads glistened with salt crystals.

    This was one of the very few successful attempts at utilizing wave action to power a pump such as this.
