My grandparents use to take me to this place for dinner. I loved it and the food was so good. This was in the late 50’s, early 60’s. It was so special and I wish they would open it with the origninal look. Would love to go back.
Hi Carol, What wonderful memories you have! I wish I had seen it back then. It sounds like it was a very special place for you and probably lots of other people as well. I didn’t see it until the late 70’s and then of course after the big flood in 1982. I, too, wish it could be restored back into what it once was. So much is lost when people choose to “moderize” rather than restore a classic old property. Such a loss for us all. I will post some more photos of it soon. Thanks for sharing your memories!
my mother and step father use to cook Mexican food there back in the mid 60’s
Hi Toni, Thanks for your comment. How cool! Do you have any mini stories (or photos) you’d like to share about those days? It’s nice to hear little tidbits from folks who were actually there.
