Hard working Gary at the Old Soquel Cemetery helped us uncover the family plot that had been long buried. The hunt began with old tattered maps, then a large iron probe and finally the tractor! After hours, a corner of the curb of the Stewart’s burial plot and the first headstone were uncovered (my husband’s ancestors). Now THAT’S a once in a lifetime experience!

Gary Morgan Schultz died May 21st, 2014.
My husband and I were deeply saddened to hear Gary had passed. Thank you for letting us know, Richard.
Do you happen to have a copy of the map, we are trying to locate friends of my 100 year old aunt and are having a hard time. Thanks.
Hi Lily, no, we were only able to get a few shots of the area where my husband’s ancestors were buried. I’m not sure where I filed them. If you’ll give me a week or two I’ll try to locate them and send them to you on the off chance they’re of any help. I’d misplaced them awhile back and need to go through several files. (I’m recovering from complications from a broken collarbone so my computer time is limited right now). Have you called the cemetery to see what’s become of them since Gary died? I would do that, too. You might also check with the Genealogical Society of Santa Cruz County (GSSCC). I know they were hoping to acquire them. Vicki
