I’m looking for history and photos of the old Brookdale Ladies Club. It was on Pacific St. down by Huckleberry Island. Many years ago I handled the sale of the property. I remember being told that it had not been used as a club for a long time. Since the club no longer existed and the building had been sitting unused, it was put up for sale. The buyer converted it to a single family residence, which the county allowed. If anyone has any info, I’d love to know more. I seem to recall someone telling me that the club had been formed or was active in the 1920’s/30’s. It had a wonderful old stone fireplace in the main room and a kitchen in the rear. I have a vague recollection of some old photo albums being at the property and I’ve wondered where they ended up.
