Brief History of Felton Grove and Photos

Here is a brief history of the Felton Grove written by Robert Wright. His father purchased the Grove in 1940 right before Pearl Harbor. It was called “Felton Grove Resort”. The Grove, now a residential area, was a summer camping destination with tent platforms.

    Love the photo of the dance hall. Do you know the name of the band?

      I’m wondering the same thing. I’ve asked a couple of old locals and they think it could have been a Santa Cruz band because it appears to be a “beachy scene”. Anyone out there know who these people might be?
